MMUF 2023 Southeast Regional Conference (SERC)

The 2023 MMUF Southeast Regional Conference will be held in person and hosted by Duke University. Undergraduate fellows and coordinators from Duke University, Emory University, Howard University, Rice University, the UNCF Consortium, the University of Puerto Rico, and the University of Texas at Austin are invited to attend.

MMUF Spring Research Conference

The MMUF Spring Research Conference is an opportunity for MMUF senior fellows to present a culmination of all the work they've been doing over the past two years. This conference is an important event for our students, and your support would be greatly appreciated. Presentations will feature the following topics:
- Decoloniality and an analysis of Frantz Fanon's 'Wretched of the Earth'/'Les Damnés de la Terre'
- "Preserving Institutional Memory of the Emory Latinx Community through Archival Research and Oral Histories"
- Race in the Legal System / Exploring the Incarceration of Black Women
- "Rap as Religious Space: Un-Veiling African Spirituality within Hip Hop," featuring Kendrick Lamar's album, "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers"
- "Mapping Bengali New York," an analysis of migration and ethnic studies
- Immigration and undocumentation within Latinx communities within the United States
All are welcome! Food and drinks will be served.
